Eric Boyd chaired the meeting; he had the group (16) introduce themselves and describe their interest in the measurement effort. Eric then gave an overview of what the GGF NM WG had been working on, followed by a description of the WG meeting in Berlin (GGF 10).
The group briefly discussed the new changes to SOAP and whether or they were useful or flexible/extensible. One person (deleware) described it as a wya to decouple all the interfaces into the data. You have to use an extra library and that makes it much more complicated unles syou use the test schema.
Then, Warren Matthews gave a presentation “piPEs Web Service “, a duplicate of the presentation he gave at GGF10. See http://e2epi.internet2.edu/workshops/20031104-Berlin-piPEs-Web-Services.ppt.
After his talk, a the group discussed how to tag Discovery issues – should it all be together or are some of the questions meta-data questions. Eric suggested that the group list the questions; Eric captured the questions on slides.
